Resumen


La Estenosis Aórtica es una de las Valvulopatías más frecuentes a nivel mundial con una Prevalencia Significativa, siendo cada vez más diagnostica en la población adulta mayor, quien posee un gran componente degenerativo de calcificación valvular y en algunas veces un sustrato de cardiopatía congénita de base con comorbilidades asociadas. El conocimiento de una semiología exquisita, su presentación clínica más el abanico de herramientas diagnósticas y posibilidades de instaurar Terapia Médica a términos Óptimos, así como la realización de Procedimientos Intervencionistas como la colocación de TAVI y Quirúrgicos con evidencia de criterios Claramente definidos para cada una de las anteriores, hacen de ella; una Valvulopatia Candidata a la implementación de Tratamientos que pueden impactar significativamente en los Resultados de la Expectativa y el Mejoramiento de la Calidad de Vida del Paciente Sintomático quien presenta una Elevada Tasa Morbimortalidad a un periodo de 5 años una vez debutada la sintomatología.
