COVID-19. Visión del Anestesiólogo.

Resumen

El COVID-19 ha sido declarado recientemente, por la Organización Mundial de la Salud, una emergencia de salud con una propagación a nivel global. Los pacientes infectados, pueden requerir en algún momento del curso de su enfermedad, una intervención quirúrgica. Ejecutar cuidadosamente las medidas de control de la infección es necesaria para prevenir la transmisión nosocomial a otros pacientes y al personal de salud que provee los cuidados. Este artículo resume importantes consideraciones desde el punto de vista del anestesiólogo para un adecuado manejo perioperatorio, tanto de aquellos casos sospechados, como los confirmados por COVID-19.
